This simple tutorial will teach you how to have Stereo Mix on your Mac OS X, similar to what the Windows computers / laptops have. For those of you who don't know, Stereo Mix is a way for you to be able to record internal sounds from your Windows computer or laptop. Mac OS X doesn't seem to have a straightforward way of letting users use their internal sound as a microphone so here's an easy-to-follow set of instructions.
This will actually let you hear the internal sound while it's playing as opposed to the typical setup where you are aimlessly recording the internal sound with you hearing nothing.
Before we get started, I just want to clarify that I am in no way responsible if this doesn't work for you. Now let's start, make sure you have the latest version of Soundflower. I used version 1.5.2 for this tutorial (current latest version) so the interface might be different in case you're reading this at a later year.
[ Download Soundflower from Google Code ]
After downloading, install Soundflower (of course). Once installed, go to your Applications folder and open Soundflowerbed. There should be an icon like the one below added to your menu bar. Click on it and select Audio Setup... from the dropdown list.

Once the settings window has opened, press the + button on the lower-left most part of the window and name and click on the newly created Aggregate Device item to rename it. When the name becomes editable, set the text to Stereo Mix.
Now while Stereo Mix is still selected, see the right side of the window and put a checkmark on Built-In Output and Soundflower (2ch).
The next thing you need to do is click on Stereo Mix on the left and then click the gear icon on the bottom then select both Use this device for sound input and Use this device for sound output. After that click the Configure Speakers button on the right. You need to use the Configure Speakers button and NOT the one on the gears icon menu. A window should slide out and there, make sure that only the Soundflower Output Stream is checked. Then click Apply and Done. There should now be a new Microphone option on all your apps that indicates Stereo Mix.
These are the last set of things that you need to do. First, click on the Soundflower icon on your menu bar then select Stereo Mix on the Soundflower (2ch) section as shown on the image below.

Then open up System Preferences\Sound and set both the Output and the Input to Stereo Mix. Close the System Preferences pane and you're good to go.

I hope this quite long tutorial helped you in some way. If you have questions regarding the steps provided, don't hesitate to leave a comment down below.
ADJUSTING THE VOLUME
If you want to adjust the volume, you may notice that the volume slider is disabled when Stereo Mix is turned on. To change the volume, go to the Soundflower icon on your menu bar and select Audio Setup... and just the volume on Soundflower (2ch) instead.
NOTE:
This isn't guaranteed to work for all mac users. There could be a lot of factors that could result in this trick not working for you.
